...it's been a while...12-13-08
Hi folks!
Like the title says, it HAS been a while. We haven't forgotten you, just at this time of year, we
have been busy doing a lot of other things outside the web sites, and we are just now getting up to date on all the revisions,
add-ons, and other stuff.
The popularity of our web sites is phenomenal - we should have over 600,000 hits by the
end of the year. This is truly amazing, and we have set our goals for 2009 at 2 million hits or better. With what we have
planned to offer you viewers, we shoould easily achieve our goals.
We have added the "Santa Comes to Wesleyville"
photo album, courtesy of Picassa 3, a free Google service that is really awesome. Check out this section, and if you would
like copies of any of the photos, just simply follow the instruuctions.
We have also added this album in video
format for your viewing pleasure. Click on the link and it will take you to our YouTube.com video collections, where you can
also see the Halls of Fear sponsored videos. We have had exactly 1,000 views on our videos, so they are certainly becoming
popular. See what all the fuss is about, and stay tuned as we will be adding more!
The Call Log has been updated,
and other updates will soon follow. We have lots of photo albums to bring you on our ongoing professional training classes
and drills held each week in our brand new Training Center building, which also host the annual Halls of Fear.
Speaking
of which, we are in the midst of completing our plans to completely redo our Halls of Fear web site, with a LOT of new stuff,
and an ongoing compendium project where we will become ALL THINGS HALLOWEEN! You viewers will be able to download pictures,
videos, music, sound effects, animations, backgrounds, and much, much more all in one place. We plan to have everything eventually,
and the new site is currently scheduled to make its grand debut sometime in late February, early March of 2009.
We
have a lot of great plans and designs coming for Halls of Fear for the 2009 season. We are taking the next step in becoming
northwest PA's premiere haunted attraction, with lots of entertainment, extras, and a lot more to entertain you not only
with our haunted house maze, but a lot of other things that will thrill you and give youo more bang for your buck. We plan
a LOT of unique items that no one else has - and I mean NOBODY! Needless to say, we are most excited about what we will be
offering to everyone and can hardly wait to debut it next October!
Well, back to work - lots to do and a whole
lot of plans to complete and publish.
Thank you for your patience and visiting us so often. If you haven't
bookmarked us, you should, because you won;t believe some of the things we will be offering to you in the near future!
Until then, Merry Christmas to you and yours, and Happy New Year!

October 1 - Halls of Fear Has Arrived!
It's that time of year, folks - in just 8 short days from now, we will have the Halls of Fear open for Kid's Night,
where the lights are on and our characters aren't quite as scary as usual, so all the little ones get their chance to
enjoy our performance! Then on Friday night, the lights go out and it's time for the big ones...
In the meantime,
we remain very busy - we have introduced the 13 (perfect number) Audio CDs entitled the Halls of Fear Official SoundTrax,
a blend of spooky and strange sound effects and music to enhance your Halloween party or home display. We have all 13 displayed
on the Halls of Fear web site, and at
www.lulu.com, who produces our cd's professionally just like you would get at the store.
Now we are in the midst of producing
our VideoTrax series for much of the same, but in DVD quality sequences of sight and sound, featuring rare footage of actual
rare (and sometimes bizzare) horror movies, movie posters, and much more. These will be released before our Grand Opening
of the Halls of Fear.
These items, plus books, tshirts, buttons, keychains, bumper stickers and more will all
be available at the Tombstone Charlie Tent Sale held in front of the entrance to the actual building. And prices will be discounted
for those that actually get in line to enter our vaunted Halls of Fear. I will be there in person to sign books and cavort
with the crowd every night, so come and visit an old man in his lonely years...
If you get a chance, view the web
site statistics posted below. You can see what a large increase we had in visitors to our web sites in the past 30 days, guessing
folks are interested in the Halls of Fear if nothing else. We are now averaging 67 BRAND NEW VISITORS every day - wow!
Also, catch the article about the Halls of Fear in Thursday's Showcase at the Erie Times-News - we are the featured
item from what we have been told, and I can hardly wait to see it!
That's it for right now. We have a lot of
things in the works, but they will have to wait until after the Halls of Fear season. Stay tuned and come visit me at the
Halls of Fear!

CRUNCH TIME CONTINUES! Sept. 18, 2008
Well, as you may have noticed, we haven't even had the time to keep up with this blog, much less almost anything else.
We have finally been able to add PayPal to our WHC Online Store to begin processing PreSale Tickets to the Halls of
Fear at their special discounted prices, accept monetary donations in different suggested amounts, and continue to sell our
Halls of Fear Book Volume 1. The PreSale Tickets are most important this year to monitor the activity of anticipated visitors
to our Halls of Fear fundraising event. At this time, we anticipate a pretty good growth of visitors since last year, althouogh
time will indeed tell on this. By monitoring any PreSale Tickets, this will give us a good idea of what to expect.
Speaking of Halls of Fear, we have just added three audio cd's for the Halls of Fear Official SoundTrax, and will be
adding ten more shortly. These are designed for listening pleasure and thrills and chills for home Halloween displays, Halloween
parties, or just plain listening to in the dark (but not recommended by yourself).
Volume 1 is the Official Halls
of Fear SoundTrax and is our Flagship audio cd. It includes all the music and sound effects of the actual Halls of Fear, taking
you from room to room to room through our maze. It is appropriately titled, "A Journey Through the Halls of Fear,"
and folks, let me tell ya - it is very spooky indeed.
In fact, we have spent the last month or so gathering up
non-copyrighted music and sounds and sequences from the internet, filtering them, mixing them, and making them downright scarier
than they were before we got them. Each one is especially designed to make your skin crawl, and to be frank, there have been
even times when yours truly had to step away for a couple of hours, as they weirded me out some.
Samples of each
Official SoundTrax are available at the Lulu web site where we have our Halls of Fear Storefront, and each is professionally
produced with jeweled case, cover and back art, customized cd label - just like you get at the store! Visit our Halls of Fear
Online Store, and give it a listen - well worth your time!
We added a memorial page to the victims of 9-11 and
hope that you enjoy our brief tribute. One can only say so much without trivializing things, so we kept ours brief and too
the point. To be honest, we could not locate appropriate music to listen to while you browse this page, as we do not feel
that there is adequate media to cover this tragedy.
We also are currently working on our Halls of Fear Official
VideoTrax, which will be at least 4 DVD's, professionally produced at Lulu.com for donations. Each will be similar to
the presentation we made at the recent Wesleyville Night Out, which literally had hundreds of people come by and make positive
comments about. As with ouor audio cd series, we thoroughly researched each clip and media used in this production to insure
that there was no copyright infractions. These will be released shortly, and we will also be releasing an official Press Release
to all local and some national media resources to let the world know what we have available for donations.
We are
also working on ouor Tombstone Charlie Tent Sale display for the Halls of Fear. Yours truly is running it and will be available
for book-signing and general mayhem (didn't he serve in the army?). We are gathering our audio cd's, video dvd's,
books, and other Halls of Fear merchandise to sell for donations at the Halls of Fear to our folks waiting in line to enter.
And don't forget Igor's Pumpkin Patch at the exit of the maze - gotta gather dem pumpkins up!
Not a whole
lot of time available now as we are using the great majority of our time in assisting in making the Halls of Fear an unqualified
success. We still have a lot of pictures (and I mean a lot) to add to our photo albums, and will be adding a lot more to the
Halls of Fear web site in the near future, to include a Halloween Radio page, that will allow viewers to listen live online
to Halloween music and story broadcasts. And of course, as always, we have lots of other plans in the works.
Again,
I want to thank all of our viewers for the patience they continue to show as we try to keep up with all the work involved
with this website and our subsites. I wish there were more hours in the day, but wishing don't always make it so...
See ya soon! (hopefully at the Halls of Fear)

Sept. 2 - It's Crunch Time!
Going into crunch time on the Halls of Fear project, which will continue until November 1st. We are very, very busy in creating
some multimedia items for the Halls itself, which will in turn be sold at the event and on the internet through our new Online
Store project. We are also creating some new t-shirts, coffee mugs, buttons, keychains, bags and other cool items to sell
in conjunction with the Halls of Fear, in addition to what we already offer.
The Halls of Fear book, Volume 1,
is also online and available now for sale. We have already sold some units online, approximately 7 weeks before the event
even begins, meaning the Halls of Fear reputation is already out there. Volume 2 is forthcoming, but again this takes some
time to compose and edit and just plain find the time to completely write.
We are also working with Chief
on the online publicity of Halls of Fear, with some very good initial success. Of the total of 2716 web site visits for August,
1255 were directed to our site from the Showcase online calendar listing HOF, or 46% of our total visitors. This is rather
amazing considering that we had only partially listed the event for only 3 days of the actual operating dates at that time.
All performance dates have now been listed on this calendar, and it will give us a great indicator of what kind of actual
traffic we should anticipate when the doors open.
In addition to all this, we will very shortly be finally able
to sell PreSale Tickets to HOF through our web site as well, using PayPal as our venue. Sales from this coming so late in
the season may or may not give us further indicators, but we will see what we will see.
What this all means is
that other projects such as photo albums, the Kids and Teens subsites, and other similar items that should be added will be
put on the back burners for now. There are just so many hours in each day, unfortunately, but we will do the best we can with
the time we have.
We also have plans to switch the web site and subsites to a new server company which will allow
us the full use of multimedia presentations that are becoming more and more popular on the internet. This won't happen
for a couple of months due to HOF, and because of a prior commitment in November, but it WILL happen. Preliminary study shows
that the new site will probably be able to be released sometime in early December, but time will tell.
Oh, and
by the way, the Halls of Fear is now a domain name, meaning that it will be a sister site to the home of WHC. It will be located
at
www.hallsoffear.com and be directly connected to WHC, which means that this project has become so popular and important to the fundraising efforts
that it deserves its own domain.
We have still not recieved all of the profiles, and efforts will be made to get
this complete, in spite of the HOF schedule of work. If you have not turned in your profile, please do so. Forms are available
at the WHC offices, or you can send them to email at
webmaster@wesleyvillehose.com.
Well, back to it. Thanks in advance for understanding that other projects have been put aside for the time being.
The importance of HOF to WHC is paramount at this time, however, and we are working some 14-18 hours a day to get our portions
completed.
See ya soon!
